A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at his home, 5105 Bedrock Road, Julian, NC at 2:00 pm.
Bernie was born in Lundale, W. VA on October 14, 1925 to the late Bernie Lambert and Allie Stewart Lambert. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the US Army. He worked as a clerk in shipping and receiving for Central Carolina. His great passion in life was turkey shooting.
Bernie is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Frances Adams Lambert; son, Gerald Wayne Lambert of Julian; daughter, Judy Little of Hamstead, NC; and two grandchildren Gerald Wayne Lambert, Jr. and Dustin Dennis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph County, 416 Vision Dr, Asheboro, NC 27203 in honor of Bernie.
