Mrs. Rivera will be laid to rest at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensboro.
Betty dedicated her life to caring for her children and especially her child with special needs. She was a lover of all animals and loved finding reasons to celebrate with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry G. Rivera; her parents, Buford and Dorothy Thomas; and sisters, Brenda Medearis and Vickie Mooney.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Maria Busam (Mark) and Janet Taylor (David); sons, Vinny Rivera (Kelly), Manuel Rivera and Melvin Evans; grandchildren, Trevor Rivera, Chase Taylor, and Breanna Stump; and her great-grandchildren, Kennedy Rivera and Nora Rivera,
