A graveside ceremony will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 19, 2012, at The Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC, with military honors. A gathering to celebrate Bill’s life will begin at 5:00 pm on Sunday evening November 18, 2012, at 1115 Pepper Hill Road in Greensboro. All of Bill’s friends and family are invited to attend.
Bill will always be remembered by his family and friends for his humor, dedication to helping others, and his love for baseball. He attended Western Carolina University from 1968-1972 and then served four years in the United States Army. After moving to Greensboro he worked for Shamrock Corporation for 28 years. He was married to Chris McCormick for 37 years and was a loving and devoted father to his two sons, William and Carl. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
