Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2012 at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home N. Elm Chapel. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens.
Miss Cottrell was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Sears. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Cordelia Cottrell, 6 sisters and brothers and a nephew, Earl K. Anderson.
Miss Cottrell is survived by her sister, Edith Norine Cottrell of Greensboro, nieces, Sondra Allred, Lynn Brown, Fern Anderson, nephews, Jimmy G. Anderson, Danny K. Anderson, Larry Cottrell, Glenn Cottrell and Marvin Cottrell

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
