

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery, with Chaplin Dan McKinny officiating.
Born in Pansey, Alabama, Billy was of the Christian faith. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Army. He was a life-long Auburn football fan, worked for Playtex International for 23 years, and retired from Wrangler after 10 years of employment. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by two sons, Steve McNeal and Randy McNeal; and a son-in-law, Sandy Arrington.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 34 years, Leticia “Cherry” McNeal, whom he fell in love with in the Philippine Islands; together, they had a daughter, Monica McNeal Arrington of Julian; prior to that, Billy was married to Lona Pate McNeal and had their four children, Sharon McNeal Paschal (Richie) of Alabama, and Ramona McNeal Waldroup (Wayne) of Tennessee, Steve McNeal, and Randy McNeal; sisters, Helen Jarvis (Louis) and Dorothy Holmes (Howard); brother, Charles McNeal (Martha); 8 grandchildren, Daina Collins, Jeremy Paschal, Amy Gregory, Stephanie Piper, Richard Hill, Shelley McNeal, Jason Waldroup, and Charles Waldroup; and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday evening at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel Funeral Home, 1900 Vanstory St., in Greensboro, and other times at their home.
