Charlotte Beavers Williams went home to be with The Lord after a long illness on July 12, 2021.
Charlotte was born August 4, 1943 in Itmann, West Virginia to Lawrence Beavers and Mildred Osborne. Charlotte was preceded in death by both parents, her husband of 59 years, Jack Williams and a nephew, Jamie Hodges.
Charlotte married Jack soon after high school and started a family. Once her children became more indepenant Charlotte began her career in part time sales in women’s fashion and became a full-time buyer at Jordan Marsh (now Dillard’s) in Greensboro, NC. She realized her true calling was nursing and after putting herself through nursing school (while taking care of four children), she graduated as an RN in 1980. She began a very successful nursing career, including holding the position of nursing director for multiple dialysis centers, and eventually retiring at Thomasville Medical Center in the labor and delivery department, which was the highlight of her career.
Charlotte is survived by her sister, Carolyn Beavers Hodges of Memphis, TN; and her children, Chris Williams (Paige) of Greensboro, NC; David Williams (Debbie) of Laguna Niguel, California; Robbie Williams (Angela) of Greensboro, NC, Camille Taylor (Jeff) of Trinity, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, one niece and three nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home at Guilford Memorial Park in the Sedgefield Chapel Sunday July 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
