A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., in Greensboro.
Born in Greensboro to the late Thomas and Mary Neill, Claire was of the Presbyterian faith. She graduated from Grimsley High School and was a Real Estate Agent for over 25 years. Claire loved traveling, enjoyed baking, and playing tennis. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Garland Phillips, Jr.; and her sister, Peggy Neill Stokes.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son Justin V. Phillips (Cally) of Greensboro; daughter, Chandra P. Cahoon (Steve) of Raleigh; 6 grandchildren, Dylan, Cole, Olivia, Caleb, Ayden, and Megan; great-granddaughter, Isabell; and other extended family and friends.
