Damron Kent Hobson

He was born on August 30, 1961 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point, NC to his parents, Anne Albertson Hobson and Barrett Hobson.

After graduating from Trinity High School, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1981-1985. He was married for 18 years to Jenny and they had three children.

He enjoyed working in children’s ministry at Grace Church in High Point when his children were young. He also enjoyed all outdoor activities, truck driving, riding his Harley motorcycle, sharpening knives, bowling, watching movies, cooking and eating. His favorite munchie was cheese dip and chips.

Surviving family members include his mother, Anne Hobson, daughters Kathryn Hobson, Lily Wall, Olivia Hobson and stepdaughter Megan Benitez. Surviving aunts and uncles include Ellen Hobson, Georgia and Garland Kinney, Kay Albertson, Jackie and Frank Albertson and Frances White. Surviving cousins include Kyle Hobson, Kristi Thompson, John and Greg Albertson, Donna Albertson and Angela Albertson. Surviving best friend in life is Terry Younts II.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11am – 12 pm at Oak Hollow Lake, 1917 East Chester Drive, High Point, NC 27265, Oak Hollow North Overlook Shelter #1. Everyone is encouraged to wear something blue as it was his favorite color.
