David Edward DeLancey, Sr., 87, passed away at his residence on April 19, 2025, under the care of Hospice and his family. He was born on July 24, 1937, to the late William DeLancey and the late Martha Ballew DeLancey.
David had lived in the Greensboro, McLeansville area all his life and graduated from Bessemer High School in 1955. He retired from Canteen.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Delancey; mother, Martha DeLancey; sisters, Evelyn Arnold, Martha Blair, and Coralee Kempton; and brothers, William (Sonny) DeLancey and James (Jim) DeLancey.
David is survived by his wife of 69 years, Sylvia Pettigrew DeLancey; his son, David DeLancey, Jr. (Cheryl); his daughter, Annette Musulin (Sam); grandson, William Justin DeLancey (Sydney); and sister, Sara DeLancey (Mary).
There will be no formal memorial service.
