Diane received her Master’s degree in psychology from Eastern Carolina University. She worked for Social Services for several years before working for numerous debt collection companies. Many years ago, she volunteered for the Girl Scouts where she would go camping and teach them survival skills.
Diane enjoyed gardening, cardinals and collecting cardinal figurines and paintings. She loved her family most and will be missed by all.
Diane is survived by her son, Scott Hinzman; sister, Linda Foster (Bill); brother, Joe Johnson (Pat); grandchildren, Leo Ivey and C J Hinzman; niece, Heather Powers and her nephews, Mike and Mark Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Friday, May 16, at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, Greensboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Diane's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
