Donald G. Shackelford, 76, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Moses Cone Hospital. He was born on August 5, 1941 in Guilford County, the son of Frouday G. and Helen Hanner Shackelford Sheppard. He worked as a commercial electrician until his retirement. He always enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He was a loving father and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.
Donald is survived by his children; Debbie Shackelford of Whitsett, NC and Donnie Shackelford and wife Evelyn of Greensboro, NC and his aunt, Wilma Fentress of Greensboro, NC.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, 2:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
