

Moody was born on December 24, 1925, in Greensboro, the son of George Graham and Martha Agnes Wall Watts. During WW II, he served his country in the US Navy. Following his service, he worked with the US Postal Service until his retirement. Moody was a member of Jamestown Presbyterian Church. He was a leader with the Boy Scouts, a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and a member in the Tar Heel Travelers Camping Club.
Moody was preceded in death by his loving wife on April 20th of this year, married 61 years; daughter, Jan Watts; two brothers, Robert Watts and James Watts and three sisters, Pauline Settlemyre, Margie Stewart and Ann Brown. Surviving are his son, Ed Watts and wife Ann Carter of Lexington, NC; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Watts and Edward Joseph “E.J’” Watts; brother, Rev Worth Watts and wife Ruth of Greensboro, NC and sister Violet Allen of Greensboro, NC, and Lella Watts, sister-in-law, also of Greensboro, NC.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at Jamestown Presbyterian Church and burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one half hour prior to the service at the church.
