

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 at ten o’clock in the morning at Saint Pius the Tenth Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. A reception will be held at @Elm Street Grill, 3606 N. Elm Street, after the committal.
Eva was born May 16, 1926 in Orient, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Chris Pilan and Theresa Dudash Pilan.
Eva was employed by Sears for many years and active with the Disabled American Veterans with her husband Joe. Eva was a founding member of Saint Pius the Tenth Catholic Church and was involved with many ministries there through the years, which included Sacristan. Eva was also active with Meals on Wheels. Eva loved watching college basketball and football especially Duke and Notre Dame. She enjoyed dancing, gardening and bird watching but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eva will be remembered as a supportive, friendly, no nonsense person who let you know her stance on the subject at hand, but her warm heart was always apparent.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eva was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Yonkers and her brother, Theodore Pilan.
Surviving are her children, Patrick Shea (Cheri) of Portland, OR, their children, Meghan, Shannon and Kara Shea; Kathleen Keys (David) of Charleston, SC, their children, Conor (Karen) (Liam and Lucas) and Michael Keys; and Brian O’Shea (Joan) of Richmond, VA; brother, Edward Pilan of Wellington, OH.
Friends will be received Thursday from six until eight o’clock in the evening at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Chapel.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Mrs. Shea’s name be made to Saint Pius the Tenth Catholic Church parish and school, 2210 North Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27408.
