Probably the greatest gift my Aunt Frances shared with me was her love of good literature. She introduced me to C.S. Lewis and Tolkien which eventually led me to Wheaton College. But my Aunt's loving hunger for Truth, and her fierce courage to pursue and proclaim that Truth, no matter what the cultural expectations my have been, made her a woman of great glory in my young eyes. Before I even understood how important this was, she lived out a dignity in her design as God's daughter that would prepare me for the richness and diversity of God's kingdom community. I love you Aunt Frances and thank you for loving me enough to fight for the best in all of us. May you rest in peace and rise in glory!

Lynn, Beth, and family we are deeply saddened by the passing of our Aunt Francis. I have a lot of fond memories of Banner Elk, NC growing up that I will cherish forever. Know that you all are in our thought and prayers! Our deepest sympathies, Suzanne & Ken Allen

Frances was my first Cousin. We grew up close to each other in the Decatur area of Georgia! We played together as children. I have many memories and pictures of the Rowland cousins, Frances and Margaret, Henry and Polly, Bobby and Jerry and Bill (my brother) and I, at birthday parties and during other family times.

We were all enriched by Frances. She had a loving and sharing spirit! She will be missed!

I can just imagine how the Lord opened His arms and gathered her in! Well done, Frances!
