Geneva H. Wright

Geneva H. Wright, 89, was called home by her heavenly Father on Friday, November 08, 2013. Geneva was born on January 23, 1924 in Pilot Mountain, NC. She graduated from Pilot Mountain High School where she was the Valedictorian of her Class. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and sister. She deeply cared for people and would offer a prayer for those in need. She not only professed her faith in Jesus Christ, but she also lived it in her daily life. Geneva was a member of McConnell Road Baptist Church for over 23 years.

Geneva is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, John J Wright of the home; son, Pastor Wayne Wright and wife Kathryn of Greensboro, NC; daughters, Gloria Wakefield and husband John of Walkertown, NC and Lisa Wright of Clemmons, NC; sisters, Phoebe Coone of Mt. Airy, NC and Ethel Smith of Siloam, NC; grandchildren, Heath Wright, Autumn Gaydon, Benjamin Wright, Jessica Wakefield and Stephanie Marsh; great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Joshua , Sarah, and Leah Gaydon, Gideon and Jude Wright.

Services to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, 2:30 p.m. at McConnell Road Baptist Church with Pastor Don Collins and Pastor Wayne Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
