George Lee Worley

George is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Harvell Worley; son, Edward “Eddie” Worley; grandchildren, Colt Moore (Carter), Jonathan, Jeremy, Brittney and Justin Medley and great grandson, Grayson Moore and a host of other family members and friends who will greatly miss him.

George retired from the P. Lorillard Tobacco Co. after 41 years of service as a machine operator.

A Celebration of Life Service for George will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at the McLeansville Baptist Church, 5205 Frieden Church Rd. McLeansville, NC 27301 conducted by Pastor Mike Barnette and Reverend Jack Lemons. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in George’s memory to the Mission’s Fund at McLeansville Baptist Church, to the Hospice of Alamance/Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215 or to the Gideons, P.O. Box 422 Graham, NC 27253

Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Worley, Burt Smith, Colt Moore, Jonathan Medley, Jeremy Medley and Justin Medley. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dee Wyrick, Jay Gaulden, Arnold Williams and David Smith.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of Alamance/Caswell, especially Toni and Sarah for their caring and help that they provided to George and our family.
