

Stan was an active member of Proximity United Methodist Church and a member of the Board of Directors of Camp Gilrock. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Proximity United Methodist Church (1200 Vine Street) at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, with visitation and a light reception to follow.
Born April 4, 1952, in Greenville, SC, Stan was the son of the late Glenn Stanley Hollis and Lucille Weaver Hollis. Stan had a long and storied 45-year career with Cone Denim, which included the building and start-up of its mills in Parras, Mexico and Jiaxing, China. He also served for many years as the Director of Operations for its White Oak facility in Greensboro, NC. Stan was known for his attention to detail and incredible work ethic. He impacted the lives of many with whom he worked and will be forever remembered and missed.
In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his brother, John.
Stan is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cheryl; son, Scottie Lombardo; sisters, Lynne Hollis Reynolds (Ken) and Caroline Hollis Burch (Jon); and a devoted sister-in-law, Amy Gardner Garcia (Tom) and several special nieces and nephews.
Stan was a loving husband and friend to many. He especially enjoyed time at the beach with family and on the golf course with his golfing buddies.
