Wayne was born in Guilford County on May 8, 1965 a son to Harold Wayne Greer, Sr. and Brenda Jean Frazier. He graduated from Ragsdale High School, was known to be a hard worker, expert welder and ironworker. He had a great love for Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed working on VW bugs. Some of his best times spent were kayaking with friends, and spending times with his nieces and making them laugh. He played guitar, like to cook, loved camping and aggravating his sisters. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Harold “Pid” Wayne Greer, Sr.; grandparents, Red and Ruby Greer; grandmother, Doris MacDowell.
Surviving are his mother, Brenda F. Darnell; sisters, Jeanie Krulish and husband Bobby, and Cyndi Lampart; nieces, Lauren Krulish, Hailey Krulish and Kenna Lampart.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be at 6:00 pm Thursday at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel in Greensboro with Rev. Robbie & Jenny McMackin officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 -6:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
