Jackie was born on August 24, 1942 in New Bern, NC, the daughter of Lonnie P. and Louise Freeman Broadwell. She graduated from Greensboro High School in 1960 and was employed with the Loman Garrett Company for 42 years. She was a loving wife, step mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, William A. Pate Jr.; step son, Tony Pate and wife Penny of Moyock, NC; sister, Anne B. Whitt and husband Bill of Southport, NC; brothers, Larry R. Broadwell and wife Brenda W. of Lugoff, SC and Boyce P. Broadwell and wife Ginger M. of Oak Island, NC; grandchildren, Madison and Clay Pate and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon till service time at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
