James "Jim" Thomas Morrison Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday November 28 at the First Presbyterian Church, in Greensboro, N.C. Family visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM.

James (know as Jim to many) was born June 8th, 1941 in Greensboro N.C. He was born to the late James Thomas Morrison and to the late Louise Estes Morrison. He was preceded in death by his sister Susan Morrison Stradley. He is survived by his sister Martha Morrison Hensley and her spouse Rex Hensley; his brother in law Les Stradley, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was a graduate of North Carolina State University, and worked in the textile industry for 12 years after graduation. He spent most of his working career in retail. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro. He served in the chancel choir and was on the caregiving ministry. Jim had a passion for learning in life, and enjoyed reading and writing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greensboro Urban Ministry, 305 West Gate City Blvd Greensboro, NC 27406 in memory of James Thomas Morrison.
