Mrs. Jane Currin Rutherford, 71, a resident of Thomasville and former resident of High Point passed away on Friday May 4, 2018 at the Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington. She was born November 14, 1946 in Guilford County, the daughter of Gray Clinton and Beatrice Freeman Currin.
Jane was a graduate of Grimsley High School in Greensboro, the class of 1965. She was employed with the Prudential Life Ins. Co. in High Point for 31 years and was a member of Southgate Baptist Church in Thomasville.
She was married to Leon “Pete” Roland Rutherford who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Amy Lynn McGuire and husband Gary of Thomasville; her brother, Thomas Gray Currin of Wrightsville, NJ; grandchildren, Lindsay McGuire, Austin McGuire; great granddaughter, Olivia Anderson and niece, Jennifer Bua.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Southgate Baptist Church in Thomasville conducted by Pastor Russel Fox. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
