Jean B Lange

Jean passed away on August 18, 2018, at Beacon Place. She was born in Greensboro, NC, to Robert K. Barricks, Sr. and Ruby Bridges Barricks and was the widow of Dr. Chet Lange. She lived most of her life in Greensboro near the family she loved. She was a strong single mother in a time when that was not common. She graduated from Greensboro High School, worked hard, and became a travel agent before retiring. She traveled the world and loved it.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Jo Ralston-Asumendi; grandchildren, Meg Ralston-Asumendi (Michael), Anna Ballard (Colton), and Rick Ralston-Asumendi (Hannah). She is also survived by her brothers, Roger Barricks (Shirley), Robert Barricks (Rhonda), and spouses of deceased siblings, Judy Wymer (Jimmy) and Bob Stewart (Wickie), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, from 7:30 until 8:30 P.M. at Advantage Funeral Service, 1900 Vanstory Street, Greensboro, NC 27403. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N O’Henry Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27405, with Father Bob Hamilton officiating.
