Mrs. Sypher was born on August 17, 1922 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to George and Vada Leyde Cross. She was educated in the Sharon School System and attended business college. She and her family resided in Lewiston, New York prior to moving to Greensboro.
Jean Sypher was a loving wife, a dedicated Mom and a loyal friend to a spectrum of citizens she acquainted during the many chapters of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan S. Johnson and husband Bruce of Hinesburg, Vermont, and son Robert V. Sypher, Jr. and wife Julia of Greensboro, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
The Sypher family wants to express their sincere gratitude to the many professionals who cared for Jean during her prolonged illness.
We want to recognize physicians Stan Tennant, Art Green and his colleague, Claudette Krell at Piedmont Senior Care for years of exceptional care.
We especially wish to recognize the relentless efforts of the nurses, CNA’s and support staff of Well Spring’s Rehab and Skilled Care facilities for their superb care in challenging circumstances.
Finally, we want to thank our steadfast ally and family friend of 50 years, Joann Jeffries, for her love and support.
Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel is assisting the Sypher family.
