

The funeral service will be held at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home on North Elm Street on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. with her pastors, Rev. Donald Miller and Rev. Robert Voorhees of Westover Church presiding. Burial will follow in Westminster Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Troxler was born November 14, 1922 in Lynchburg, Virginia and graduated from E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg and Kings Business College in Greensboro, NC. She worked as a secretary and receptionist, including ten years for her own church, Westover, where she was a charter member. She was an active member in her church in Women’s Ministries and was a leader in Pioneer Girls.
Mrs. Troxler was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, A. Hoyle Troxler; her father, James D. Hughes; her mother, Winnie Purcell Hughes; her sisters, Julia Hughes Wright and Doris Hughes Tinnell, and her twin brother, James D. Hughes, Jr., all of Lynchburg.
She is survived by her son, William Hoyle Troxler; her grandson Christian Devery Troxler of Mobile, Alabama; and her daughter, Julia Ann Troxler of Fayetteville, Georgia.
The family visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Missionary Fund at Westover Church, 505 Muirs Chapel Road Greensboro, NC 27410 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western North Carolina 3800 Shamrock Drive Charlotte, NC 28215-3220 in Jean’s memory.
