Jeanne will be remembered for her kind, friendly personality and big smile. She enjoyed spending time with her family and making new friends in the many places she lived.

Mrs. Pomeroy was the roving elementary school librarian for the Sault Area Public Schools from 1972-1994. In the 1970s, she was responsible for seven elementary schools in the district.

She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa and the Michigan Educators Association.
Upon retiring, Jeanne became involved with the Friends of the Library at Bayliss in Sault Ste. Marie. For many years, she could be heard doing interviews and promoting library fundraising events on WSOO radio.
