Joan Ellie (Bradley) Snyder

She was born March 30, 1931, in Guilford County, a daughter of the late Charlie and Beulah Bradley.

Joan is preceded in death by her beloved husband Sam, parents Charlie and Beulah Bradley, son Wayne Snyder, and grandson Brad Snyder.

She was a founding member of the Gospel Baptist church and in the past few years she looked forward to attending church whenever she was able.

She was a dedicated employee for Western Electric where she was well known and admired. She is most remembered for her strong faith in God and perseverance. She lived by example and overcame many health challenges with faith, determination and grit. In her later years she enjoyed talking to friends and family and soaking up as much sunshine as possible.

She is survived by her daughter Peggy Donnell, daughter-in-law Lynne Hamilton and grandchildren Vanessa Henning and Leigh Le, sister-in-law Nancy Bradley, niece Janet Myers.

Joan was a strong woman who has left a void in our heart, but we are comforted knowing that she is with her husband Sam, who was the love of her life. We will think of you every time we sit in the warm sunshine just like you warmed our hearts every day.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17th at 11:30 at Gospel Baptist Church, 5945 North Church Street, Greensboro, North Carolina, 27455. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Road, Greensboro, North Carolina, 27410.
