JoAnn Wilson Smith

JoAnn was born in Hazlehurst, Georgia on January 6, 1935 to Daisy and Hugh Wilson. She married her husband, of fifty five years, and moved to Greensboro where she resided until the Lord called her home.

JoAnn made everything she touched beautiful. She was a talented artist, fabulous cook, and wonderful entertainer. Most of all, she was committed to her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Siegfried Smith Jr. and her daughter Sieglinda Lee Smith. She is survived by her son William Siegfried Smith III (Ellen Smith), her daughter Elizabeth Smith Ryan (Rocky Ryan), her five grandchildren; Will Smith (Amber Smith), Jake Smith, Jack Ryan (Mackenzie Ryan), Lee Ryan, Connor Ryan and great granddaughter Ivy Smith. She also leaves behind her sister Maxine Cary, her niece Melinda Carr and nephews John Britt, Allen Smith and David Allen.

The family wishes to thank all the nurses, staff, and friends at Well Spring for the loving care of their mother over the last few months. We would also like to thank AuthoraCare for their help and guidance.

A memorial service will be held in The Special Occasions Room at Well Spring Retirement Community on November 22nd at 2:00 pm.
