John (Andy’s) Parents were John Foster Sr. and Beverly Ann Oliver. He was born in Greensboro, NC. He graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile, AL. He then joined the US Air Force and later attended Montevallo College in AL.
He moved back to Greensboro in 2006. There he became a respiratory technician working at Advanced Home Care and Lincare until he retired during the Covid 19 Shut Down. Declining health prevented him from public work after 2020.
He was preceded in death by his father John H. Foster, Sr. and Step-Father Carroll W. Cooper
He is survived by his mother Beverly Oliver Cooper of Greensboro, Sister Peggy Foster Beswick (Thomas), of Greensboro, and their children, brothers, James Richard Foster of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Barry Cooper (Nina) of Giessen, Germany and their children, and Justin Cooper of Asheboro, NC. He is also survived by his beloved aunt, Sara Oliver Wilde of Woodstock, GA
A graveside service for Andy will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Rd, Greensboro, North Carolina 27401.
