John Marvin Peele

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 20, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel with Rev. Michael Long officiating. Family visitation will be prior to the service, at 11:00 am.

Marvin was born in Guilford County to the late Alexander and Eula Jones Peele. He worked as an electrical and HVAC technician at Proctor Gamble (Vicks) for more than twenty years. He was a member of Martin Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, bus driver and member of the choir. He loved animals, people and his church.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and son, John Michael Peele and two sisters, Mildred Canter and Mary Windsor. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Ann Williamson Peele of the home; daughter, Kimberly Purgason and husband Ben of Stokesdale; grandchildren, Jonathan Purgason and wife Jillian of British Columbia, Alex Purgason and Moriah Purgason of Stokesdale; and great grandchild Avery Purgason of British Columbia.
