A service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 beginning at 4pm at the Impact Church, 4705 N. Church St. Greensboro, NC 27455, where he was a member. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Joshua was born September 13, 1975 in Paterson, NJ, the son of Saul and Letty Perez Colón.
Joshua grew up in Tampa, FL since 1981, where he attended Light of the World church where he finished four years of bible institute, and was on the worship team and youth leader. While living in Greensboro, he became a member of Impact Church where he sang in the worship team, led the prayer team, and co-lead the care response team along with his parents. He enjoyed reading his bible and listening and singing gospel hymns. Most of all, Joshua enjoyed helping others and was always sharing his faith and encouraging others. He would never show that he was in pain or suffering because he wanted others to remember his worship to the Lord more than his physical condition. He will be missed more than words can express.
Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his parents of Greensboro are his sisters, Jeannette Figueroa and husband Luis Figueroa of Summerfield and Jacqui Colón-Mestre and husband Anthony Mestre of Wesley Chapel, FL; paternal grandmother, Alejandrina Rivera Colón of Greensboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family asks with gratitude that memorials in Joshua’s name be made via online payments through Zelle, Venmo or Cash App using 336-520-5894 sister Jeannette Figueroa. Or mail to Saul and Leticia 5907 River Glen Dr, Greensboro NC 27455. They will in turn also include donation to Impact Church, for their service and support they are providing to the family.
