Judy was born July 22, 1951 in Rock Hill, SC, the daughter of Betty Lee Johnson Sturgis and the late William Blackmon Sturgis.
She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and attended Winthrop University. She was an active member of Crosspoint Church of Greensboro where she enjoyed serving in the choir.
In addition to her mother of Rock Hill, SC, Judy is survived by her brother, Gary Sturgis of Hilton Head Island, SC.
