Kathleen L. Harper

Kathleen L. Harper, 89, of Greensboro, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A graveside service will be held Friday, 1:00 p.m., at Lakeview Memorial Park by Rev. Bart Friddle.

Kathleen was born November 16, 1924 in Greensboro, the daughter of William E. Lineberry and Annie Ethel Dunn Lineberry.

Kathleen retired from Cone Mills Revolution Plant with 38 years of service. She was a member of Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church and enjoyed the American Legion Post 1206 hot dog luncheons on Saturday’s. She also enjoyed meeting with acquaintances at McDonald’s whom affectionately called her Ms. Kitty.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Leslie J. Harper, five brothers, six sisters, and her grandson, Chris Harper.

Surviving are her daughter, Joan Williams (Tim) of Greensboro; sons, Mike Harper (Linda) of Brown Summit and Jerry Harper of Greensboro; grandchildren, Dana Daly (Sean) of Greensboro, Kellie Harper of Charleston, SC; great grandchildren, Madison, Morgan, Macie, and Mia Daly all of Greensboro, Samantha Harper of Santa Barbara, CA, Sebastian and Trevor Harper, both of Los Angeles, CA; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.
