Kenneth Foye Jackson Sr.

Kenneth Foye Jackson Sr., 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17th, at Beacon Place. Foye was born on September 20, 1938 in Ivanhoe, VA, the son of Marion Dyer and Erlene Sheffey Jackson. He retired from Yellow Freight after 40 years of service. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 391. He enjoyed NASCAR, cooking, playing cards (Rook & Hand and Foot) and tinkering with cars. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.

Foye was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Jackson; grandchildren, Justin Suits and Brooks Jackson; twin sister, Faye Riggins and sister, JoAnn Dotson. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 years, Betty Ann Brown Jackson of the home; daughters, Brenda Phipps (Benny), Pam Teachey (Ron), Kim Allen (Scott) and Ava Jackson; grandchildren, Jordon Morris (Scott), Jared Phipps, Jena Harrelson (Craig), Blake Jackson, Faryn Teachey, Carson Teachey, Gina Allen and Nicole Jackson; great grandchildren, Logan and Landon Morris, Harper Rose Harrelson; siblings, Bobbie Kay Anderson (Bobby), Judy McCrary (George), M.D. Jackson (Phyllis), Roger Jackson (Patty) and Ranny Jackson (June).

Services to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, 2:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
