

A native of West Hempstead, NY, he was a graduate of Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY and Assumption College in Worcester, MA; he also earned a Masters of Public Affairs from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah Jacobi Devine, and two children, Anthony Andrew Devine of Durham, NC and Katherine Francesca Devine of New York, NY.
Kevin had lived in Greensboro since 1974 and served the citizens of Guilford County in the Department of Social Services for almost 30 years before moving to work for the Division of Social Services for the NC Department of Health and Human Services. He formed a consulting company, Performance Matters, and served as a Certified Executive Coach to various counties, public agencies, private nonprofit and small businesses throughout North Carolina. For a number of years Kevin and Debbie operated an entrepreneurial bread-baking business known as the Devine Upper Crust, with customers as broad as the Fresh Market, Kroger, Belk's, Mt. Tabor Market and many popular restaurants before becoming one of the first vendors in the then-new Farmers Market on Sandy Ridge Road.
A memorial service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 5603 Hilltop Rd, Greensboro, on Wednesday, May 7, at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
