Larry James Chatman, 75, a resident of Myrtle Beach and a former resident of Greensboro passed away on Sunday July 25, 2021. Larry was born in Stuart, VA on March 4, 1946 the son of Archie and Birdie Lester Holt Chatman.
Larry was a graduate of Northwest High School in Greensboro and was working as a Journeyman with the High Point Furniture Market. While living in Greensboro, Larry attended Life Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jean Chatman Jarrett.
Larry is survived by his wife, Tenna Todd Chatman of the home; two daughters, Deborah Chatman Wagoner and husband Richard of Walkertown, NC, Heather Roxanna Chatman and partner Darrick Williams of Rocky Mount, NC; a step-son, Mark Alton Perry and wife Trudy of Taylorsville, NC; one brother, Wayne Chatman and wife Kay of Thurmond, NC; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Pastor Jake Thornhill. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Cizornij, Jack Bailey, Alan Newell, Les Fox, Don Chatman, Brandon Wagoner, Dylan, Wagoner and Mark Perry.
