Louise McDowell Lee, 87, a resident of Greensboro and former resident of High Point passed away on Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Moses H. Cone Hospital. Louise was born July 18, 1929 in High Point the daughter of Coleman F. and Alma Garner McDowell.
She was a graduate of High Point High School Class of 1947. Louise attended Friendly Baptist Church in High Point until her health began to fail.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Lee, Jr.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Sink Branson and husband Paul of High Point, Tammie Sink Powers and husband Mark of Greensboro; her son, Barry Sink of Trinity; sisters, Judie Cain of Trinity, Mary Jane Pryor of Smithfield; brother, Jack McDowell and wife Paddy of High Point; grandchildren, Jason Bryant, Adam Branson, Emily Branson Taylor, Jake Powers, Zack Powers, Melissa Sink, Rhee Sink; eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
