Lula Jane "Snook" Carter

Lula Jane "Snook" Carter went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on January 10, 2022. What a joyous reunion with her Lord and family. Her life was brought to a close, full of rich experiences and many cherished friends. She loved gospel music and she was so happy singing and witnessing for the Lord. Throughout her life, Lula went into prisons, nursing homes and churches in Greensboro and anywhere she could lift up the name of Jesus. She was loved by those who knew her.

Lula was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Jack Carter of 62 years; son, Terry Carter; daughter, Tina Carter Clegg and her parents, Bill and Minnie Deaton. She is survived by four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and special cousins, Bobby & Kay Mitchell and Shirley Franks.

A special thanks to all of her friends and neighbors at Whitehall Community, off of Lake Jeanette Road in Greensboro. The visits, the food, and the time spent talking meant so much these last few months.
