Margaret Elizabeth McRae

Margaret will be laid to rest next to her husband, in Holly Hill Memorial Park, during a private family committal service, with Pastor Alan Sherouse, officiating.

Margaret was born in High Point, North Carolina, on May 14, 1923, to the late Thomas Winslow and Lillian Hill Winslow. She spent her working career in the sewing department of Heritage and Tomlinson Furniture Companies. Margaret was a devoted member of Unity United Methodist Church in Thomasville for many years, until her health began to decline in her later years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. McRae; brothers, Winfred, Marvin, Troy and Floyd; and sisters, Blanche and Lucille.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Allen McRae (Barbara) and Corie McRae (Elaine); grandchildren, Jon Allen McRae (Donna), Stephanie McRae, Jeff McRae, Michael McRae (Christine), and Kevin Armfield (Paula); great-grandchildren, Jordan McRae Hatfield, Kyle McRae, Taylor McRae Todd, Alex McRae, Zack McRae, Lindsey McRae, Caroline Armfield and Austin Armfield; great great-grandchild, Liam Hatfield; and other extended family and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring team from AuthoraCare Greensboro, for assisting with Margaret's care for the last year and a half.
