Mary Ann Beckham Carothers, 72, a resident of Greensboro, NC passed away on Saturday April 23 2022. She was born May 7, 1949 in Rock Hill, SC, the daughter of William Tillman and Gladys Halverson Beckham.
She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Bonnie Jean Beckham Lollis.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Carothers of the home; her mother, Gladys Beckham of Rock Hill, SC; her sister Judy Bailey of Lake Wylie SC, her children, Cammie Stover Miller and husband Joey of Blacksburg, SC; Daniel C. Stover, Jr. of Lake Wylie, SC; Laurie Stover Caldarella and husband Tony of Overland Park, KS; Nickie Stover Jobe and husband Mike of High Point, step-children, Shelly Carothers Cole of Chapel Hill; Cari B. Carothers of Norfolk, VA; Jonathan Aaron Carothers and wife Melissa of Richmond, VA; Nathan Scott Carothers and wife Jonni Jo of Mooresville; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary Ann was a beloved and determined daughter, mother, grandmother and great grandmother through her entire life. She lived to love her family, and her family loved her with the same passion. She will forever be remembered in our hearts as our sweat Mama, Hanna, Sweet Pea, Bo, and Maw Maw Mary Ann. She was a graduate of High Point University. She was also a beloved member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She loved to travel throughout her life time. Some of her favorite places included Italy, Charleston, Biltmore Estates, and Disney World amongst countless others.
A viewing will be held on April 29 at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm. Entombment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum.
