Melvin Bernard Brunt, Jr, 47, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5th, 2018. He was born July 15th, 1971 in Forsyth County to Rosa Stephens Funderburk and Melvin Brunt, Sr. He attended East Forsyth High School. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Brunt Sr.; grandson, Taylen Jacobs; and grandmothers, Rose Lee Stephens and Vivian Brunt. He leaves to cherish his memory, loving parents, Rosa and Sherman Funderburk; sons, Quinton Byers, Chevez Brunt; daughter, Chantika Brunt; grandchildren, Messiah Stevenson, Malayasia Stevenson, Melanie Banks, Alanna Campbell, and Chaniece Brunt; sisters, Melvina, Vivian, and Meltrice Brunt; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones!
Visitation will be held at noon, one hour prior to the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Field of God Outreach Ministries Church, 6151 Tobaccoville Road, Tobaccoville, NC 27050, with Bishop Donald Keaton officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Woodland Cemetery, 3123 Indiana Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
