Obituary of Michael “Mike” Douglas Ingold Sr.
Michael “Mike” Douglas Ingold, Sr., 71, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, following a brief illness. Mike was a Greensboro native and the son of the late Ila Marie Scarlett and Macon Jester Ingold. He was educated in the Greensboro Public School system and retired having served the community as a Homicide Detective with Greensboro Police Department with 23 years of service. Passionate about being in nature, he was an avid angler and enjoyed going to the beaches of NC. Topping his list of favorite things to do were catching a good baseball game, playing a nice round of golf, taking his son fishing and his daughter to New York City. His survivors are his wife Patricia “Pal” Lineberry Ingold; daughter Lauren I. Tuttle (Chad) their daughter, Ava Claire; son, Michael D. Ingold, Jr. (Kate); sister, Scarlet I. Rogers (Raymond); stepsons, Will Milks (Nicole) and their sons John Austin Milks and James Owen Milks; Joey Milks (Erin Yeager-Milks) and their daughter Madelyn Grace Milks; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and multitude of friends. An informal celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 23, 2021, at the Hanes-Lineberry Center, 515 N Elm St., Greensboro, NC 27401 followed by a reception.
