Nanci Lynn Smith Alford, 63, will be greatly missed by friends and family. She passed away unexpectedly at home in Greensboro on Sunday, November 24, 2024. A service to celebrate her life will be at 1 PM, Friday December 6, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Greensboro, officiated by Pastor Alan Sherouse. The family will receive friends following the service during a reception in the atrium.
Nanci was born Wilmington, NC to the late Wilbur Alexander and Mary Catherine Smith. She was a woman of great faith and worshipped at Long Leaf Baptist Church in Wilmington and First Baptist Church of Greensboro. She will be remembered for her generosity, quick wit and intellect. Nanci was the successful owner of High Point Interiors for many years. She and her husband, Robert L. “Bobby” Alford, were married for thirty-two wonderful years.
In addition to Bobby, she is survived by her sister, Rhonda Smith Costin and brothers, Wilbur A. Smith, Jr. and David Smith.
