Naomi Frances Wilkinson Murray

Naomi was born June 8, 1931 in Caswell County, the daughter of Samuel William Wilkinson and Della Page Wilkinson.

Naomi, at an early age wanted to help people. She was the only one of her siblings to graduate high school and further her education. In 1952 she graduated from St. Leo’s Hospital School of Nursing. While in school she met her future husband, Harry Mitchell Murray and they married in October, 1952.

After graduation, Naomi worked for the health department with the polio patients. After her daughter was born and started school, Naomi went back to work at Moses Cone Hospital, where she retired.

Naomi loved to read a good novel. She collected house plants and had a knack with animals. She also loved spending time at the beach.

In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, and all of her siblings.

Surviving are her daughter Donna and husband Trent Allen; special niece, Thelma Sprinkle; special nephew, Stephen Sprinkle and his son, Jacob Sprinkle; special friends, Jeanette and RL Swing and Susan Hepler.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., at Lakeview Memorial Park.
