A funeral service will be held Monday, 2:00 p.m., at Cornerstone Baptist Church by Pastor Bill Davis. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens.
Rachel was born September 24, 1940 in Greensboro, the daughter of Walter Lee Haithcock and Jettie Cora Duggins Haithcock.
Rachel was a member of Green St. Baptist Church in High Point and retired from Lorrilard Tobacco Co. with over 39 years of service. She enjoyed cross stitching and arranging flowers.
In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her son, Edward ”Eddie” Capes, and her brother, Edgar Lee Haithcock.
Surviving is her sister, Bonnie Jones of Greensboro and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Sunday, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.
