Robert (Bobby) Lynn Williams, 64, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 13th, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 6th, 1957 in Charlotte, NC. The son of the late Joseph Redden Williams and Margaret Louise Crump Williams.
He graduated from Ragsdale High School in 1976 where he played football, baseball, and wrestling. He was a decorated Veteran and Sergeant servicing in the United States Air Force as a Security Specialist. He worked as a proud truck driver known to many as “Uncle Bob” throughout his life at Village Meats, VSA, Averitt Express, USF Holland, JKS Sports, and CLI Transport with Sheetz.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents & in-laws, Calvin and Betty Segraves. He leaves behind the love of his life and Wife of 38 years, Betsy; Daughters, Sarah, Ashley Welborn & Husband Zachary; Brother in law, Spencer Seagraves & wife Vivian; Nephew, Bradford Seagraves & wife Anna; Niece, Lauren Aucker & Husband Bryce; Great Nieces, Emery Seagraves, Sophie & Brianne Aucker; and Great Nephew, Elijah Seagraves.
Bobby lived his life to the fullest. He loved God, his family, friends and Country first and foremost with all his heart. He was very devoted to his family and would do anything for anyone. He was the epitome of a good man and loved by everyone. He knew how to make the best out of every situation. You couldn’t help but smile when Bobby was around.
Bobby was taken from us too soon and will be greatly missed by all. His spirit will live on reminding us he is here by shining his light through an American flag flying, the sound of a Harley-Davidson engine, or a shot of Jack Daniels Whiskey. He will continue to live on through those fortunate enough to know him, reminiscing through the good laughs and good times he created. May we all continue to soar as high as Bobby, the dude abides.
