Ruth was born in Rock Hill, S.C. on March 8, 1932 a daughter to the late Edgar Nobles and Lula Simmons Nobles. She loved her family and spending time as a homemaker with them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred S. Koury, Sr., who passed away in September of 1988; daughter, Toni Beck Crowson; granddaughter, Karen Summer; sisters, Cecile and Beaulah, and brother, Clyde W. Nobles.
Left to cherish her memory are, Fred S. Koury, Jr., Flake M. Koury and wife Cyndi; daughter, Wendy Johnson and husband Dwayne; grandchildren, Chip Crowson, Austin Mills, Kalynn Koury, and Weston Koury; sister, Christine N. Rogers and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am -1:30 pm on Thursday at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service, 1900 Vanstory St., Greensboro, NC. A graveside service will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
The family would like to thank the staff of Brighton Gardens and other Rehab Centers for the care shown to their mother.
