Samuel “Sam” Bainbridge, 83, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2012. Services to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at Friendly Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery.
Sam graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill and worked in the well drilling business. He was a devoted member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church and the John Durham Sunday School Class. Sam’s passion was sharing the Lord everywhere he went.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael in 2001. Sam is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rachel; son, Peter and wife Diane; daughter-in-law Pam, and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund at Friendly Avenue Baptist Church, 4800 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro, NC 27410.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
