Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2013 at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home N. Elm Chapel. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Mr. Taylor was retired from S & L Drywall. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was an avid NASCAR enthusiast who rooted for David Pearson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia Taylor.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his children; Pamela Osborne of Greensboro, Shelton Taylor of Trinity, Roselyn Taylor, Jill Taylor both of Greensboro, Lewis Taylor of Pleasant Garden, brothers; Gilbert Taylor of Norfolk, VA, Ellis Taylor of Yuma, AZ, sister, Catherine Brooks of Virginia Beach, VA, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Taylor’s hospice nurse, Paula G.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
