A funeral service will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens.
Vivian was born October 14, 1928 in Oneida, NY, the daughter of Thomas Edwin Ellen and Emma McGenniss Ellen.
Vivian moved to Leaksville in her youth and graduated from Leaksville High School. She was a member of Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church in Greensboro where she volunteered in the church office. Vivian also volunteered with Mobile Wheels and attended the Christian Business Women’s Group since 1983. She was employed by Burlington Industries for 38 years where she was a member of Burlington Industries Friends and retired from Highland Industries in 1990.
In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, James Claude Glass; sister, Lucille Dorris; brother, Clarence Ellen, and daughter in law, Lorrie Glass.
Surviving are her sons, Jimmy Glass, Jr. and Steven Glass, both of Greensboro; granddaughters, Layne Rainey, Lauryn Duncan and Lyndsey Miller; great-grandsons, Aydin and Miles Rainey and Graylen Miller.
Friends will be received from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
