

The Lord chose this day, August 12, 2011 to take William “Bill” Henry King, Jr., 64, to his heavenly home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Bill was born in Erwin, NC on July 20, 1947 to the late William H. King, Sr. and Fannie Jo Booker King. He was a graduate of Page Senior School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Bill retired from Lorillard Inc. after thirty-five years of service and was a member of New Bessemer Baptist Church. He was an Ordained Deacon.
Bill was preceded in death by his father. Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his high school sweetheart and wife of 43 years, Deborah Slay King; children Lisa King Long and husband Brian and R. Kevin King and wife Tena, all of Greensboro; mother, Fannie Jo King; sister, Darlene ”Dolly” K. McIntyre and husband Bryant of Greensboro; brother M. Randy King and wife Sherrie of Burlington; and the love of his life, his grandchildren, Stacie, Kasey, Ryan, Reece and Mia; and two special nieces and three nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro 2500 Summit Avenue Greensboro, NC 27405, or to New Bessemer Baptist Church, 4115 Hines Chapel Road McLeansville, NC 27301.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Monday, August 22, 2011 at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.
